David Hodgson is eager for Hull KR to return to winning ways against St Helens when the high-flyers visit the KC Lightstream Stadium on Sunday.

The Robins suffered a 26-22 loss to Huddersfield Giants last week on the back of an impressive away success over the struggling Bradford Bulls.

The veteran winger bagged two tries against Paul Anderson’s Giants, but it was not enough to help the East Yorkshire club secure the two Super League points.

We’ve got some tough games coming up but if we play half as good as we did against the Giants and fix up a few little things, we should go alright.

Hull KR are three points adrift of eighth-placed Widnes ahead of their tricky-looking clash against Saints and Hodgson knows the importance of staying within touching distance of the play-offs.

“It’s tight on the table, especially around where we are at the minute,” he told the club's official website.

“We could have done with a win against Huddersfield, it would have kept us up there and kept a little bit of a gap to a few other teams, but we’ve got to work hard from here.

“Hopefully we can pick up a few more wins and keep us moving towards the top eight.”
