Super League: Hull KR not interested in Hull FC's Jacob Miller and Ben Crooks

Hull KR chairman Neil Hudgell has ruled out the club making moves for Jacob Miller and Ben Crooks from city rivals Hull FC and raids on the club in for the 'foreseeable future'.

The pair have dropped out of the first-team picture at the KC Stadium and the Robins were being tipped to swoop as Chris Chester looked to bolster his squad.

Not only has Hudgell ruled out a move for the half-back and centre, he insists Hull KR are no longer interested in scouting the Black and Whites for talent period.

"Hull is a great place for speculation and rumours, but I can categorically say we are not interested in Miller or Crooks, or any of their other players for that matter,” Hudgell told the Hull Daily Mail.

Days are over

"In fact, the days of us signing any players from across the river are over for the foreseeable future as far as I'm concerned.

"We have appointed a new coach in Chris Chester and he has his own ideas about how he wants to play and what he wants to achieve during the duration of his three-year contract.

"We've been very fortunate to have signed very good players and club men in former FC players, none more so than our new coach himself, but we are now looking to build a culture that reflects the values of our supporters.

"Our fans are loyal, passionate and only interested in one club. Taking players from our nearest rivals doesn't fit in with that brief."
