Catalans Dragons have appointed Greg Mounis and Remi Casty as co-captains of the club.

French prop Casty, 29, was the club captain in 2012 and 2013 before heading to Australia where he played for the Sydney Roosters last year.

Loose forward Mounis, 30, is set to embark on his 10th season with the Dragons, and his fifth as co-captain.

He is the first player to have surpassed the 200 Super League game mark with the club.

Dragons head coach Laurent Frayssinous said: “It was not a hard decision for me, Remi and Greg were an obvious choice to everyone in this role.

“Both are natural leaders and are highly respected players within our group. They are an example on and off the field.”

“They will be heavily supported by a number of other senior players who show great leadership.”
