Ben Pomeroy was sent off for the second successive home game for an X-rated tackle on Ashley Gibson.
The Catalans centre received a red card on 28 minutes for a suplex-style tackle that resulted in Gibson landing on his head.
Gibson received lengthy treatment on the pitch before being stretchered off, but he was okay to travel back from France with his Castleford team-mates.
Gibson tweeted: "Thank you for the message! I'm all good...just a bit of whiplash thank god."
Pomeroy was only making his return from suspension for a shoulder charge on St Helens' Josh Jones in Catalans' last home game on August 8.
Despite their numerical disadvantage, Catalans ran out 44-26 winners to dent Castleford's top-four hopes.
