Teenager expected to train with the first team

Salford have signed teenage half-back Theo Fages from French club Pia on a two-and-a-half-year contract. Fages, whose father Pascal played rugby league for France, will initially play for the Reds' junior sides but will also spend time training with the first team. The 16-year-old, who has previously been involved with the Catalans Dragons Under 20's, will also attend Salford City College. Salford head of youth development Alan Hunte said: "Theo is a very, very good player, a really good signing for us and we are looking forward to helping him fulfil his potential as a great half-back."
