Super League: Marwan Koukash disappointed with Salford Red Devils' 2015 season ticket sales

Salford Red Devils owner Marwan Koukash has hit out at a lack of season ticket sales ahead of the 2015 Super League campaign.
The ambitious Red Devils are expected to build on their 10th place finish last season with Ben Jones-Bishop and Michael Dobson joining Kevin Locke at the AJ Bell Stadium.
Although Koukash’s revolution at Salford is well underway it appears fans are less than enthusiastic ahead of the new campaign with fewer than 1,000 season tickets sold, figures that greatly disappoint the racehorse owner.
Koukash has now appealed to fans as to why uptake has been slow. The club’s owner is eager to build a team capable of challenging for honours and is baffled as to why supporters are not buying into his vision.
“I find it disappointing that fewer than 1,000 season tickets have been sold so far when I look at the squad I have brought together for 2015,” he tweeted.
“Fewer than five people in every 1000 in Salford have bought into the club, what does that tell me? Is it the stadium? Rugby League? Salford?”
