Wakefield have signed former Bradford and Harlequins prop Matt James on a two-year deal.
The move takes the Wildcats' number of close-season recruits to 16 with James leaving Championship side Barrow.
"I'm really looking forward to the new season and working hard and trying to earn a place in the team," he said.
Two overseas signings, Dean Collis and Tim Smith, are set to arrive in the UK in the next fortnight after receiving their visas.
However, the Wildcats have confirmed the release of Semi Tadulala, Liam Higgins and Samy Masselot.
