Iafeta Palea'aesina has taken on a behind-the-scenes role with Hull FC and signed a two-year playing deal with Doncaster.
The former New Zealand international will become Hull's player welfare manager on a full-time basis after performing the role part-time this season.
Palea'aesina had been playing for Doncaster on dual registration as he continued a comeback from injury that cost him a regular role with the Black and Whites, for whom he only managed six appearances off the bench.
"I'm really pleased," said Palea'aesina. "The club (Hull) has shown great faith in me by offering me a role off the field.
"A few years ago I was running round in France and (Hull owner) Adam Pearson and Lee Radford gave a lifeline to come back to England and I was really grateful for that.
"The last three years have been great for me, playing for Hull FC, and it's great that they have offered me the opportunity to stay on in a full-time capacity in a role which I've really enjoyed doing."
