Hull KR have lost Ryan Shaw for the rest of the 2016 campaign after the winger suffered a serious knee injury.

Shaw, signed from Bradford Bulls in the off-season, ruptured an anterior cruciate ligament during Monday's defeat to Wigan Warriors,

In another blow for the club, Josh Mantellato broke an arm in the Good Friday derby with Hull FC.

Interim head coach James Webster said: "It's very disappointing news to lose both players to injury during the Easter period, but particularly Ryan who will unfortunately now miss the rest of the season.

"It's terrible news for him after he'd earned a consistent run in the side but the important thing now is to get him the best medical support and ensure he comes back from this a stronger player.

"He's still young and younger players tend to heal quickly so we have every confidence that he'll make a full recovery and be back ready to train with us in pre-season.
