Hull KR have secured the services of Wigan forward Greg Burke on a season-long loan for the 2015 campaign.

The 21-year-old has made 23 senior appearances for the Warriors but spent most of the last two years on a dual registration at Workington and also had a loan spell at Bradford in 2014.

Burke becomes the Robins' 11th new signing for Super League XX and will be a replacement for loose forward Neville Costigan, who quit the club halfway through his two-year contract due to “personal reasons”.

Hull KR coach Chris Chester said: "I'd like to thank the Wigan club for agreeing to this loan and hopefully it will be a deal that suits all parties.

"Greg is a fantastic addition to our squad for next season and we're excited to have him on board. He is a ball playing lock forward with plenty of skill but he's aggressive with it.

"Greg will be a perfect replacement for Neville Costigan and I'm sure he will fit right into our system."

The 2015 season begins in February.
