Phil Clarke says that Wigan's Betfred Super League clash with Hull FC in Australia is too close to call.

The two sides will face each other at WIN Stadium in Wollongong on Saturday, live on Sky Sports Arena at 8.45am, in the first Super League match to take place outside of Europe.

Seven days later, Wigan will face South Sydney Rabbitohs and Hull will take on St George Illawarra Dragons in Sydney in the World Club Series before heading back to the UK to continue their Super League campaigns.

Both sides travelled to Australia with opening round wins as Wigan recorded a dominant 40-12 victory against Salford, while Hull were equally as impressive with their 38-12 win over Huddersfield.

"It's tough to say who will come out on top at this stage," Clarke told Sky Sports News.

"St Helens stood out as the team to beat after round 1 but the other two impressive sides were Wigan and Hull FC.

This is what happened the last time Wigan and Hull FC met.

"Last season when they played, Hull won in the early match by two points. When they met later last September it took two tries from Wigan in the last four minutes for them to come from behind and win that fixture.

"They are both very evenly balanced and both will be very determined to impress not only themselves, but everyone else in Australia.

"It should be a magnificent game and a close contest."
