Castleford's new signing Tuoyo Egodo will spend the 2017 season on loan at Kingstone Press Championship club, Oldham.

Egodo will join team-mate Kieran Gill, who is already on loan with the Roughyeds for 2017, but can be recalled by the Tigers at 24 hours' notice.

Castleford coach Daryl Powell said: "Touyo has shown in his short time with us that he has huge potential as a player but he needs to play on a regular basis and this deal with Oldham will give him the opportunity to play weekly in a tough competition and really enhance his abilities as a player."

Roughyeds coach Scott Naylor said: "Cas and Daryl Powell think a lot about him and it will be great for us to have him on a long-term loan which will aid his development and be good for us at the same time."

Egodo joined Castleford in October and played in their friendlies against Hull and Wakefield. Oldham claim the winger was also wanted by Hull KR, Bradford and an un-named Super League club.

Currently on a pre-season training camp in Lanzarote with the Tigers' first-team, Egodo will link up with Oldham to play their league opener against Sheffield at Bower Fold on February 5.
