Winger inks new three-year deal

Castleford's goalkicking winger Kirk Dixon has signed a new three-year contract, committing him to the engage Super League club until the end of the 2014 season. Dixon, 26, who has scored 732 points in 119 appearances since joining the Tigers from Hull in 2007, was due to be out of contract at the end of the current campaign. "I'm absolutely over the moon," he said. "I owe the club a lot of gratitude and it's somewhere that I want to be. "I enjoy my time here and that's why I decided to sign." Dixon, whose sudden-death penalty against Wakefield in May took Castleford through to the quarter-finals of the Challenge Cup, is one of just four survivors from the club's promotion-winning campaign in 2007.
