Papua New Guinea's preparations for their match against England have been hit by a visa delay.

England's opening opponents hit by red tape

Papua New Guinea's World Cup preparation have been disrupted after half of their squad suffered visa delays. The problem left 11 of the 24 players and two members of the backroom staff stranded in Port Moresby, while the rest of the party was allowed to leave for Australia. With Friday's flight from Port Moresby to Cairns fully booked, it is likely to be Saturday before the squad can be reunited in northern Queensland. The Kumuls will then relocate to Townsville next Monday to make final preparations ahead of their World Cup opener against England on October 25.
