North Wales Crusaders to compete in Championship One
The successors to Super League club Crusaders will be known as North Wales Crusaders, the consortium behind the new outfit has announced.
The Wrexham-based club is expected to be incorporated into Championship One in 2012 after Crusaders were dissolved.
The name emerged top of an online poll and the NW Crusaders set up a north Wales v south Wales clash with the Neath-based Scorpions in the third tier.
Mark Rowley, general manager of Wales Rugby League, said: "Congratulations to the new north Wales club for the way that they have set themselves up in such a short space of time.
"We've never had a north Wales v south Wales clash in professional rugby league before so next season will see some historic games."
