Veteran signs on for another year
Catalans veteran Jason Croker has signed a new 12-month contract with the prospering Super League club.
The 35-year-old Australian is the oldest player currently playing in the top flight and the new deal means he will be at the club for a third year after his current contract runs out at the end of the season.
"I am very happy to stay with the Dragons next year," he said. "It is a good club. I will be 36 next year so it will be probably my last year as a player."
Croker has been a key member of the Dragons squad that made it to the Challenge Cup final last year and has played 15 times so far this season.
Coach Mick Potter acknowledged the second-rower's contribution, saying: "Jason defies the normal rugby league player longevity. It will be his 18th season as a professional footballer, which is just amazing. Full credit to Jason."
