Huddersfield Giants full-back Brett Hodgson has capped a stellar first season in Super League by being named the 2009 'Man of Steel'. The 31-year-old Australian pipped 2008 winner James Graham and Warrington veteran Adrian Morley to the award at a star-studded ceremony. Hodgson, who joined the Giants from West Tigers, scored 11 tries, set up eight more and scored 88 goals as he made an immediate impact at the Galpharm Stadium. However was Hodgson the right man to be named Man of Steel or did Graham, the leading ball-carrier in 2009, deserve to become the first player since Paul Sculthorpe to retain his title?
