Italy international joins from Wests Tigers
Utility player Rocky Trimarchi has become the latest addition to Crusaders' new-look squad.
Trimarchi, an Italy international who can play prop, back row or centre, will link up with one of his old Wests Tigers team-mates Ryan O'Hara in Wales.
He is the Crusaders' eighth close-season recruit ahead of their Super League opener against Leeds at the Racecourse Ground on January 29.
Trimarchi lost his place at Wests Tigers to ex-Leeds forward Gareth Ellis but arrives from the NRL with a big recommendation from his old boss Tim Sheens, the Australia coach.
Sheens said: "Rocky has suffered a bit with Gareth Ellis coming into the club and the fact that we've got a lot of strength in the back row.
"He's been looking for a new opportunity and I think he'll do well in Super League."
