Veteran Australian full-back joins Welsh outfit

Veteran Australian full-back Clinton Schifcofske has bolstered the Crusaders ahead of their Super League clash with Harlequins on Thursday. The 34-year-old has signed for the Welsh outfit after being released from the final year of his contract following two years with rugby union side Ulster. He is now set to make his Super League debut against bottom-of-the-table Quins in the clash at Neath, having taken the place of young Welsh full-back Elliott Kear in Brian Noble's squad. Schifcofske, who is of Polish descent, brings a wealth of experience to the side, having amassed 1,604 points in a National Rugby League career with Parramatta and Canberra. He also represented New South Wales in State of Origin before switching codes with Queensland Reds.
