Ronnie O'Sullivan has insisted he wants the pressure of big matches ahead of his clash with Mark Williams in China.

The five-time world champion will play Williams in the third round of the International Championship in Chengdu after seeing off local favourite Li Hang 6-1.

O’Sullivan racked up breaks of 59, 90, 50, 63 and 53 in round two with his opponent’s only frame coming courtesy of an 88 in frame two.

But Williams will be no pushover having followed up his success against Barry Hawkins with four half-century breaks in a 6-4 victory over Sam Baird.

O’Sullivan is relishing the prospect of facing the two-time world champion.

The Rocket told worldsnooker.com: "Mark is a great player who has won big tournaments and he's used to the big occasion.

“I will have to play well tomorrow but that's what I want - to know that if I don't play well I'll get beat.

"I want to feel that pressure and adrenaline running through my body.

“These are the type of games you look forward to and I'll be really up for the challenge."

Elsewhere, Mark Allen ended the run of Stuart Bingham with a hard-fought 6-4 win and will face Wales' Michael White, a 6-2 winner over Ian Burns.

Ricky Walden defeated Joe Swail 6-4 to set up a clash with Jamie Burnett, who saw off the dogged Peter Ebdon 6-2.
