Image: It took the second seed just 34 minutes to secure the first set 6-3, courtesy of another break of Berdych's serve. -
Image: The fans were out in force and they were hoping Berdych could get a foothold in the match in the second set. -
Image: The Czech right-hander soon had chances to break serve in the opening game. -
Image: But Nadal saved the break-points to keep his momentum going. -

Image: After looking impressive on serve in the second set, Berdych coughed up set points to Nadal in game 12. -
Image: And the Spanish ace took the set at the first time of asking and a second Wimbledon title looked on the cards. -
Image: Berdych, who dispatched Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic in previous rounds, was not going down without a fight and he carved out another break point. -
Image: But Nadal, who ended British hopes for another year by beating Andy Murray in the semis, fought back to hold. -

Image: ...and the 24-year-old Czech was staring down the barrel when Nadal secured a championship point on his opponent's serve. -
Image: It took just the one match point for the Spanish ace to scoop his second Wimbledon crown. -
Image: After two hours and 13 minutes, Nadal shook hands with Berdych after sealing a 6-3 7-5 6-4 victory. -
Image: The new Wimbledon champion treated Centre Court to his acrobatic skills after claiming his eighth grand slam title. -
Image: And the world number one hadn't finished there - his entourage had a double-fist pump aimed in their direction. -
