British youngster Katie Swan recorded the best win of her career so far when she defeated Lauren Davis 1-6 6-4 6-2 in Miami Open qualifying.
Swan, who only turns 17 this week, turned professional in February and became Great Britain's youngest Fed Cup player in the same month.
World No 102 Davis is ranked more than 400 places higher than Swan and was one of the seeded players in the qualifying tournament.
And the match went to form in the first set, as Davis romped through it, breaking serve three times.
However, the second set was much tighter and Swan eventually edged it after securing three of the five breaks of serve.
The young Brit then powered through the final set, breaking twice more and saving the only break point she faced, as she secured an impressive win in two hours and 10 minutes.
Swan sent down 11 aces and six double faults while Davis managed just one ace and served seven doubles.
Swan, originally from Bristol but now based in the United States, will face another American, Samantha Crawford, in final qualifying on Tuesday.
British No 3 Naomi Broady has also progressed to final qualifying, having secured a 6-4 6-3 win over Turkey's Cagla Buyukakcay.
In the men's draw, James Ward fought back from a set down to beat Japan's Yuichi Sugita 3-6 6-0 6-3 and set up a meeting with Bjorn Fratangelo of the United States.
