Kiki Bertens beat Colombia's Mariana Duque-Marino in Saturday's final of the Nuremburg Open to win her second WTA title.
And in Strasbourg, rising star Caroline Garcia finished her French Open preparations nicely as she won the title on home turf, seeing off Croatian Mirjana Lucic-Baroni in straight sets, 6-4 6-1.
Netherlands star Bertens took just over an hour to win 6-2 6-2.
Bertens was in top form all week, coming through the qualifying stages and upsetting top seed Roberta Vinci - which was also her first-ever win against a top 10 player - before coming through a tough, three-set semi-final against home favourite Julia Goerges on Friday.
She will now turn her attention to the French Open, where she will begin her tournament against German world No 3 Angelique Kerber.
In Strasbourg, after a back-and-forth first set which saw five service breaks, Garcia lost only three points on her serve as she stormed through the second set to wrap up a comfortable victory and secure her second WTA title.
The Frenchwoman was clearly enjoying playing in front of a home crowd, as she broke the serve of Lucic-Baroni five times in the match, but was modest in her victory, telling WTAtennis.com: "I have a good record against her… but it was more difficult than it looked and she is someone I look up to."
Garcia now heads to Paris to begin her French Open quest against Ukrainian Lesia Tsurenko, with a likely meeting with No 2 seed Agnieszka Radwanska in the next round.
