Novak Djokovic is through to the French Open quarter-finals after defeating 14th-seed Bautista Agut in his bid to add the Roland Garros title to his collection.
The Serb fought back from a below-par start to the match to beat the plucky Spaniard 3-6 6-3 6-1 7-5 on Court Philippe Chatrier in a rain-delayed victory.
After conceding the opening set in damp conditions on Tuesday, the Serb played tighter to win the second set and was 4-1 ahead in the third when rain cut short his victory charge on day 10 of the championships.
Play resumed on Wednesday for a match that should have been played on Monday, with Djokovic winning the third set before he fell a break behind in the fourth.
The world No 1 came back to claim five successive games, finishing with a forehand volley on his second match point to set up a meeting with Tomas Berdych, who beat 2013 runner-up David Ferrer 6-3 7-5 6-3.
Advancing beyond the fourth round at Roland Garros for only the third time in 13 attempts, the seventh-seeded Czech saved all nine break points he faced in a match that was postponed on Monday because of rain and started on Tuesday, only to be interrupted by more rain in the first set.
Elsewhere, Dominic Thiem is through to his first Grand Slam quarter-final, following a 6-2 6-7 6-1 6-4 victory over Marcel Granollers.
The match was tied at a set apiece before rain stopped play on Tuesday, but it was 13th-seed Thiem who secured victory on Wednesday.
Thiem started the contest strongly when he went a double break up early in the first set and the 22-year-old looked to have carried his momentum into the second with an instant break of serve, but Granollers broke back before sealing a tie-break 7-2.
The Austrian fought back with a double break in the third set before completing the fourth in 36 minutes, to set up a tie with David Goffin, who defeated Ernests Gulbis 4-6 6-2 6-2 6-3.
