Tara Moore out of Wimbledon as British interest in women's draw ends

Tara Moore became the final British player to exit the women's singles at Wimbledon after giving 13th seed Svetlana Kuznetsova a scare.
Moore, one of the wildcard entrants for the tournament, took a set off the Russian but was unable to maintain her momentum into the deciding set and eventually went out 6-1 2-6 6-3.
The 23-year-old appeared set for an early exit when she had her service broken twice to trail 4-0 in the opening set, which Kuznestova took for the loss of a single game.
But Moore belied her world ranking of 227 in the second set and Kuznetsova's serve proved to be fragile as she was broken three times, allowing the Briton to level the match.
Moore was getting full support from a packed crowd on court three but she dropped her serve early in the set and, after breaking back, lost it again in the eighth game as Kuznetsova edged through to the last 32.
"Svetlana is someone I grew up watching. I've seen her win many tournaments and grand slams as well. I think she's a great fighter and great champion," Moore said.
"I tried my best. I threw my house at her and ultimately came back with nothing.
"The crowd has been absolutely fantastic. I can't describe that feeling when someone is screaming your name, how many people were out there screaming my name. They're great. I just adore them so much."
Kuznetsova will next play the winner of an uncompleted second round tie between 18th seed Sloane Stephens and Mandy Minella of Luxembourg - they were tied 3-3 in the deciding set when rain struck on Friday evening.
