Feliciano Lopez ensured Indian Aces retained their place at the top of the International Tennis Premier League on Wednesday in the final match-day in Singapore.
The Aces overcame the hosts, the Slammers, 23-22 to extend a three-point lead at the pinnacle of the competition.
Lopez first opened a lead for the Aces alongside Ivan Dodig in the men's doubles against the Slammers' Marcos Baghdatis and Marcelo Melo.
In the fifth set men's singles, Lopez then ousted Nick Kyrgios 6-5 to keep the Aces in control ahead of the tournament's visit to India.
The Japan Warriors kept themselves in third-place by beating the UAE Royals 23-20, despite only winning two of five sets.
Fernando Verdasco won 6-2 against Pablo Cuevas but the major damage was done by Kurumi Nara, who whitewashed Martina Hingis 6-0 to give the Warriors enough points to hold onto victory.
