Judy Murray is working with the LTA to support grass roots tennis after it was revealed that participation has dropped 30 per cent in the last 12 years

Judy Murray tells Sky Sports News HQ more needs to be done to ensure women's tennis continues to flourish in the UK.

Murray stepped down as Great Britain's Fed Cup captain last year but her passion for bringing through the next generation of British tennis stars remains undiminished.

Britain's Johanna Konta is currently a top 10 world-ranked player but ongoing research conducted by the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) shows the number of girls and women playing the game in the UK has fallen by 30 per cent in the last 12 years.

The LTA are working with Murray on her 'Miss Hits' and 'She Rallies' programmes, which are designed to encourage 5-8 year olds and female coaches to get more involved in the sport.
