Lucas Pouille continued his march towards the Dubai Open title by winning his quarter-final against Yuichi Sugita on Thursday.
Pouille is the top remaining seed after Grigor Dimitrov's unexpectedly early exit.
World No 15 Pouille recovered from losing the first set to Sugita, winning 3-6 6-3 6-2.
He is aiming to add the Dubai title to the trophy he collected in Montpellier earlier this month.
Pouille will play either Filip Krajinovic or Evgeny Donskoy in the semi-finals.
Roberto Bautista-Agut beat Borna Coric in another quarter-final on Thursday, and will next meet Malek Jaziri who dealt Dimitrov his shock defeat earlier in the tournament.
The Dubai Open continues on Sky Sports on Friday from 1pm.
