Roger Federer and Jeremy Chardy served up a stunning point during their BNP Paribas Open fourth-round clash at Indian Wells on Wednesday night.

The 36-year-old Federer is off to one of his strongest career starts and is now 15-0 in 2018 after booking his quarter-final berth in the Californian desert with a 7-5 6-4 win over Chardy.

Defending Indian Wells champion Federer put on a serving clinic against Chardy as he hit two aces and won 100 per cent of his first serve points. He dropped just three serve points overall with those coming on his second serve.

But credit to Chardy for pulling and pushing the Swiss maestro all the way when in the sixth game of the second set, not even a hot dog by the Frenchman could trouble the world No 1. Click on the video above to witness an incredible point between the two players and then watch highlights below.
