Andy Murray set to marry Kim Sears in Scotland this April
Friday 6 February 2015 13:11, UK
Andy Murray will marry his fiancee Kim Sears on April 11 at the hotel he owns in Scotland.
The couple are understood to be arranging the private service at the five-star Cromlix House Hotel, close to his home town of Dunblane.
Murray will miss the Monte Carlo clay-court event which begins the following week, the tournament is not a mandatory event on the tour and comes early in the clay season.
The British No 1 has never gone beyond the semi-finals of the Monaco-based tournament and the partisan crowd have twice jeered him off the court.
Murray will compete in Miami on March 25 to April 5 before taking his nuptials and returning to action nearly a month later in Madrid on May 4, with both tournaments being shown live on Sky Sports.
Murray and Sears announced their engagement in November 2014, after having been together for nine years. The couple met in 2005 through Kim's father, Nigel, head of the women's section of the Lawn Tennis Association.
Sears generally stays out of the spotlight but grabbed the headlines recently at the Australian Open when she appeared to wear in the direction of Murray's semi-final opponent Tomas Berdych.
She then wore a 'Parental Advisory: Explicit Content' T-shirt to Murray's final loss to Novak Djokovic in Melbourne.
Murray will play his first live on Sky Sports game in 2015 next week at the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament in Rotterdam. For the full live tennis fixtures, head to www.skysports.com/watch/tennis-on-sky
