Queen's Club front runner to host Great Britain's Davis Cup tie

The prospect of Queen's Club hosting a Davis Cup tie this summer for the first time in a quarter of a century has moved a step closer.
British No 1 Andy Murray has said that staging the quarter-final tie against France at the west London venue would give them 'the best opportunity to win the match'.
Negotiations have been under way since the win over the United States in Glasgow last month and it would appear that the Queen's Club is set to get the nod ahead of other possible grass-court venues in Birmingham and Eastbourne.
A spokesman for Queen's said: "We have been approached, along with some other venues, and are actively looking at whether or not we could host it.
"There are a number of logistical issues that would have to be resolved, but if it is possible to overcome them Queen's would be delighted to host the Davis Cup in July."
The All England Club has ruled Wimbledon out of the running because there would not be enough time to prepare the courts as the Championships finish on Sunday, July 12 - just five days before the scheduled start of the Davis Cup tie.
France were the opposition when Queen's last staged a Davis Cup tie in 1990, when Great Britain were beaten 5-0.
