British No 2 Cameron Norrie claimed a comfortable victory at the National Bank Open in Montreal to set up a third-round meeting with Katie Boulter's new husband Alex De Minaur.
Norrie, who snapped a six-match losing streak en route to the semi-finals in Los Cabos last week, followed up his opening win in Canada over Camilo Ugo Carabelli with more success against Peruvian Ignacio Buse.
Norrie, ranked four places below the Peruvian world No 33, secured a confident 6-3 6-3 win in one hour and 29 minutes.

The 30-year-old saved three out of the four break points he faced and converted four out of 11.
Speaking on Sky Sports Tennis, analyst Annabel Croft said: "Norrie was too experienced, too much game for his opponent. He applied the pressure when he needed to and defended extremely well with depth. We also saw him coming forward a lot, asking a lot of questions.
"His serve went a little off in the second set but he got it back on track."

Fonseca makes winning return; Zverev and Medvedev stunned
Competing in his first tour-level match since Wimbledon, Joao Fonseca overcame former finalist Stefanos Tsitsipas 7-6 (7-3) 7-5.
"I think Joao from last year would've lost his mind," Fonseca said in his on-court interview.
"I'm a more mature Joao [now]. It's been a couple of weeks without playing, so I knew, serving for the match, I would be a little bit more tense.
"I felt good, played some good returns, and then put the pressure on him. I think I needed that break at 5-5."
The 19-year-old Brazilian added: "This year, playing with the big [guys]. I've played with Sinner, Alcaraz, Zverev, Shelton and Djokovic, so I've had a lot of experience.
"This has helped me a lot figuring out how much my mental strength is one of my biggest weapons. That I can be as confident as this.
"These experiences that I've had in these two years [has been] really important for my development."
Just hours after No 2 seed Felix Auger-Aliassime withdrew, the No 1 seed and Wimbledon finalist Alexander Zverev was ousted by Tallon Griekspoor 6-7 (3-7) 6-2 6-4, leaving the tournament wide open.
"I've been working harder and harder lately and I've reached quite a good level in practice over the past couple of weeks," Griekspoor said.
"I felt like it was just a matter of time. This one is special, especially against a player like Sascha."
Griekspoor's Dutch compatriot Botic van de Zandschulp also claimed a huge 6-3 7-6 (7-5) victory against Daniil Medvedev in the Russian's first ATP Tour match since his third-round exit at Wimbledon.
"I have never beaten him [Medvedev] before, but today I had to change it up, go out of my comfort zone, and I think I did it well," Van de Zandschulp said.
After booking his place in the draw through qualifying, British No 5 Jacob Fearnley was also knocked out in the second round after suffering a 6-3 3-6 6-3 defeat to world No 17 Jakub Mensik.
Home favourite Ben Shelton will fancy his chances of retaining his title defence after a 6-3 7-5 win over Jenson Brooksby while Casper Ruud - sporting a new haircut - crushed Juan Manuel Cerundolo 6-1 6-2.
Shelton appeared to be in comfortable position on the Montreal hard court after taking the opening set 6-3, but his world No 74 opponent came out fighting in the second.
Brooksby took a 4-1 lead, but the 2025 champion upped his level to break twice and win the set 7-5, thus avoiding a decider.
He will next face 31st seed Zizou Bergs of Belgium in the round of 32.
Thiago Agustin Tirante recorded a shock 7-5 6-3 victory against Taylor Fritz, who struggled physically having lifted his biggest title in nearly four years at the ATP 500 event in Washington on Monday.
Gauff, Rybakina make winning starts
In Toronto, Coco Gauff won her first match since Wimbledon by defeating Kayla Day 6-2 7-5.
"I saw the new Spider-Man film. I was going do a joke and say a big spoiler but I'm not going do that," the American joked after her win.
Elena Rybakina kicked off her campaign by defeating Daria Kasatkina 6-3 5-7 6-4 to advance to the third round despite a chaotic serving display.
The Australian Open champion opened the match by hammering down six consecutive winners, eventually finding 58 in total - including 15 aces. However, she matched that with a tally of 58 unforced errors, of which 16 were double faults.
The second seeded will next play Ann Li, who defeated Canada's Kayla Cross 7-6 (7-2) 6-3.
