Andy Murray lost his Monte Carlo Masters semi-final to clay court specialist Rafa Nadal

Nadal's pursuit of a ninth title in Monte Carlo is pencilled in for 1.30pm as he ramps up his pre-French Open preparations.

The 14-time Grand Slam winner looked back to his imperious best on Saturday as he dispatched Andy Murray in the semi-finals but will need to have bottled up some of that form for Sunday.

Monfils, a Frenchman playing in his homeland, stands in Nadal's way and will bring his unique brand of entertaining tennis with him.
