Fourth seed Fabio Fognini won just three games as he crashed out of the Argentina Open in Buenos Aires.

The Italian, who ended Rafael Nadal's 12-year run of semi-final wins on clay at the Rio Open last week, was far below his best against Carlos Berlocq and was beaten inside an hour in their last-16 clash.

His Argentine opponent cruised to a 6-3 6-0 victory to set up a clash with Slovenian world No 85 Blaz Rola, who made light work of Facundo Bagnis 6-2 6-1.

Second seed Tommy Robredo eased into the quarter-finals after seeing off home hope Renzo Olivo 6-1 6-2 and he will next face Spanish countryman Nicolas Almagro, who eased past Albert Ramos-Vinolas 6-3 6-4.
