Top seed Agnieszka Radwanska has eased into the second round of the AEGON Open in Nottingham.

The Pole dropped just three games against Russia's Alla Kudryavtseva as she claimed a comfortable 6-0 6-3 victory.

British wildcard entry Johanna Konta also progressed in straight sets after she defeated No 7 seed Magdalena Rybarikova 6-3 6-3.

Next up for British No 2 Konta is a tricky clash with Puerto Rican Monica Puig.

“I love that Centre Court, so I’m happy I got to play on that today and tomorrow as well,” Konta told the tournament’s official website.

“I was expecting a tough match and that’s what it was. I was just taking it one point at a time and trying my best. I’ve been having a good, healthy year so far.”

Konta’s compatriot Katy Dunne was unable to follow suit, however, losing 6-1 6-2 to Olga Govortsova of Belarus.

Second-ranked Zarina Diyas saw off 2010 French Open winner Francesca Schiavone 7-6 7-6.

But No 3 seed Varvara Lepchenko fared less well as she was beaten 4-6 6-3 6-1 by Monica Niculescu of Romania.
