The Williams sisters go head to head in the US Open quarter-finals on Tuesday.
They have previously met four times on the New York courts - Sky Sports remembers those encounters.
2001, final: Venus beat Serena 6-2 6-4
Defending champion Venus needed a little more than an hour to defeat Serena, who broke her sister twice in the second set but struggled on her own serve. Venus earned two breaks in the opening set and three in the second to claim her fourth major title and extend her younger sister's wait to add to her first.
2002, final: Serena beat Venus 6-4 6-3
Serena did not have to wait too much longer, winning the French Open and Wimbledon before making it three straight Grand Slam titles after turning the tables on Venus in front of a packed Arthur Ashe Stadium. It was a powerful performance by Serena but she was helped by Venus' service struggles, with the 22-year-old gifting her sister 10 points through double faults.
2005, last 16: Venus beat Serena 7-6 (7-5) 6-2
The draw was not kind to the sisters, with the fourth-round tie the earliest they had met in a major since their first meeting at the 1998 Australian Open. Serena had seven Grand Slam titles to Venus' five but she was struggling for form and her older sister was on a high after her third Wimbledon triumph.
Venus won a hard-fought tie-break in the first set before taking advantage of Serena's tiredness in the second.
"I don't think there's anyone besides Venus that could have beaten me here," a defiant Serena said afterwards.
2008, quarter-final: Serena beat Venus 7-6 (8-6) 7-6 (9-7)
Serena claimed her third US Open title in 2008 but her tournament could easily have ended in the last eight. Venus had two set points in the first and let another eight slip by in the second as she suffered the narrowest of defeats.
Serena said: "I feel like I should have a trophy now. Unfortunately I don't and I've got to go to the next round."
