Korea's Amy Yang set a new tournament record in winning her second Honda LPGA Thailand title by five strokes.

Yang had to play the final 23 holes on Sunday after bad weather struck the Siam Country Club's Pattaya Old Course earlier in the week, but she was rarely troubled in securing victory.

Her 22 under final total set a new tournament record, one shot better than 2007 winner Suzann Pettersen and 2010 champion Ai Miyazato.

The 2015 champion led by five going into the final round, having added a single birdie in her last five holes of the third round.

Yang saw her lead reduced to three shots on a number of occasions during the final round but she managed to birdie two of the last five holes to secure a wide-margin victory.

"I am beyond happy, I had so many early wake-up calls this week," said Yang, who had to play 31 holes on Saturday as well as the 23 on Sunday.

"I had to stay patient out there.
