Verdict

Toby Lerone got back to winning ways at Towcester having been turned over by Galway Jack at Leicester. Monsieur Gibraltar won at Taunton in February and has made it two out of two between the flags since. Gauvain hasn’t run under Rules since May last year but landed an Open at Parham last month, though the weights appear to favour OLOFI. He was odds-on when beaten by Arthur’s Secret at Stratford but the winner looks a useful recruit to the hunter chase ranks and the well-beaten third had won his previous start. Brody Bleu has won seven times under Rules and the quicker ground is in his favour so he can’t be ignored.
