Verdict

COOL MACAVITY has done well over hurdles for Nicky Henderson and is still rated 85 on the flat though it's a long time since he showed any real form on the level. He's changed stables as has St Malo, who is back in the UK after one run in Ireland. Philip Hobbs sends him on the long journey from the West Country and he looks the only serious threat. Genres scored at Hamilton a year ago but has been badly out of sorts on the Flat and over hurdles while Royal Flag, who was in reasonable form last summer, has been well beaten in recent starts.
