      In depth

      Verdict

ELGIN carries 7lb extra for a very easy victory at Chelmsford but he's a Grade-winning hurdler rated 158 and will be difficult to beat. Saroog has been a major disappointment after a fine debut at Newbury last summer and was a short-priced favourite when beaten at Wetherby. He should find this trip and ground to his liking so looks certain to give a good account. Falcon's View is by Dubawi out of a Group 2 winner so will be expected to do much better than he showed at Bath while dual bumper winner Buildmeupbuttercup has run in Listed and Group company in her two starts under Flat rules but hasn't shown much and probably needs further.
