Verdict

This is the first qualifier for a new series that will stage its final here in the autumn. David Barron's string couldn't be in better form and his Play Nicely has been making hay on Fibresand. Faiseur De Miracle is lightly-raced and so is Live Miracle. Chebsey Beau has only had three runs on the Flat but HUBERTAS (NAP) looks the best treated of John Quinn's two runners on runs at Haydock and Doncaster in the second half of last year and he was only beaten a short-head over course and distance in August when the ground was soft. Swift Cedar wins his fair share but this trip is probably on the sharp side for the returning Longshadow.
