Verdict

ALFREDO ARCANO, six times a winner here, is returning from a spell on the Turf track at Meydan where he didn't run as well as expected after a very promising opening run. He's 8lb higher than his last victory here in December but has the class to see these off. St Brelades Bay was in very good form on Turf for most of last summer scoring at Gowran and the Curragh. He was narrowly beaten on his only start here and can run from the same mark. Emadee made a successful debut at Naas in 2017 but has only had four subsequent runs, the latest when an excellent third in a very strong Curragh handicap in June. Hasselnott is a regular around here, scoring in February and reappearing quickly from a moderate run at Naas on Saturday. Zig Zag Zyggy has changed stables and did most of his racing at Hamilton last summer though he won over the minimum here in September. Lily's Prince ended a very long losing spell by gaining his ninth career victory over the track and trip a fortnight ago for which he's only been raised 1lb. Bakht Khan had four starts for Kevin Ryan in the UK and showed up well on his only run last season at Thirsk. Hee Haw scored over the minimum here in February but hasn't shown much subsequently while Red Cymbal, who won at Chelmsford for William Haggas in 2017, found 5f too short on his first start for new connections a month ago though is 8lb out of the handicap.
