Verdict

I COULD DO BETTER will need to do just that carrying a double penalty having won both starts to date. But Keith Dalgleish’s charge romped clear of the opposition at Carlisle on his recent reappearance and won in soft going on last year’s debut. A third at Thirsk last time, Alexander James had earlier won easily at Southwell and may prove suited by today’s ground while Mina Velour came good on a fast surface at Redcar last month. Senorita Grande was placed in testing ground at Nottingham recently while Last Empire and Puerto Banus looking likely improvers and Victory Ahead is a newcomer to note.
