Verdict

Ocala won at Chepstow a fortnight ago though soft ground and this extra distance are an unknown to her. SPUTNIK PLANUM didn’t much care for Chester on his return from a lengthy absence but won his first two outings for Mick Appleby early last year including a soft ground success over 1m2f at Doncaster. Much better is expected here and he gets the nod. Strong Steps ran well at Ayr recently though Sands Chorus is preferred on today’s going dropping back down in class while Vive La Difference won twice here last season and is back on a winning mark. Weld Al Emarat and Illustrissime have been thereabouts on the all-weather this year though the former has yet to win on Turf.
