Dr Newland knows how to place his horses so it's significant that he sends JAYO TIME over fences for the first time on the mark of a plating-class hurdler. He's won two sellers over timber recently so arrives in top form and will have been given plenty of schooling. Noble Friend has won four of his last five over fences and wasn't beaten far in the other. He's up 8lb from his Stratford victory but it will be a surprise if he's not involved in the finish. Mont Royale is another making his debut over fences but has to race from a 17lb higher mark than his latest victory over hurdles at Southwell and that could prove beyond him. Double Handful jumps and stays well and hasn't been beaten far over longer trips recently. He won't mind dropping back in trip and should go well.
