      Verdict

      Paul Midgley has three entries but Monsieur Joe is comfortably the top-rated in the event and though he's generally needed his opening run of the campaign he's often been in Dubai which isn't the case this time. His overall form suggests he should win this but the fact that he hasn't been out since July is a concern and the guaranteed fitness of stable companion LINE OF REASON earns him the vote. He's been in action at Meydan where he performed with credit without managing a victory and he broke the track record when scoring at Beverley last summer. Lexington Abbey beat Intibaah in heavy going on his reappearance at Nottingham last season and ended the campaign with a superb second to the same horse in the lucrative Coral Sprint Trophy at York so he's an obvious candidate. Glenrowan Rose completed a double last spring and didn't reappear until October when runner-up to Caspian Prince over this track and trip. She's capable of further progress and can go well.
