In depth

Verdict

A low-grade but tricky handicap to end the day. The veteran Bunce, going for his tenth victory on his 91st start, is only 2lb higher than his last victory and is generally consistent though it's the only other course and distance winner in the line-up, ONE BOY, who gets the nod. Paul Midgley's charge ended the last campaign with a victory at Navan having won here in September and two runs this year will have put him straight for this. Lydia's Place has to be a real danger as she completed a double last summer in better company than this and reappeared with a fine run at Newcastle from today's mark with Royal Brave a couple of lengths back in seventh. Havelock has been racing over further and been disappointing though he starts off in handicaps off what could prove a lenient mark.
