Many of these have disappointed already this season but there are liable to be a few who can make progress and the market could prove a strong guide. It's a surprise to see Galveston Bay dropping back to a mile after he was staying on stoutly at the end of a 1m4f handicap at Tramore last week. THE SILVER CROWN is no world-beater but is steadily improving and made much of the running before caught late on by Snap Alam over 1m1f at Ballinrobe. This shorter trip help Michael Mulvany's filly last home and she can gain her first success. Connections of Red Jim must have been disappointed with his comeback at Gowran as he was well supported but never got competitive. That was his first start since October and he should have come on for the run. Ostung's best efforts have been on polytrack but Breezed Well didn't run badly behind Appletreemagic at Dundalk in April.
