Cheap Street may be able to spring a surprise in the finale by getting the better of more obvious candidates in Kelamon and Memphis Man. Supporting Cheap Street since his successful juvenile season has been akin to following the road to ruin but he's indubitably well handicapped and did enough in the spring to hint that he's capable of winning again. This is his optimum trip and he's effective with cut in the ground and it may be worth forgiving him his two modest runs in June and July as his yard only managed to saddle one winner in that period but have already sent out two winners from just twelve runners this month. Kelamon thrives on soft ground and he was understandably well supported to land a fourth track success at Windsor last time. He also scored at this track three starts ago so there are no concerns on that score and he also has a win to his name from this mark last year; he will be a popular selection and rightly so. Memphis Man got back on the winning trail at Haydock on his penultimate start but little went right for him at Bath last time after a slow start. He's clearly on good terms with himself at the moment and should make a bold bid for top honours. Gentle Guru is another in-form runner but she was due to take her chance at Folkestone on Wednesday and it remains to be seen whether she makes the line-up. Dazed And Amazed has dropped 25lbs in a year but hasn't shown any signs of taking advantage of the handicapper's clemency whilst Blessed Place is better served by the minimum. An interesting finish to the card in which we'll take Cheap Street to upset the applecart.
