    Verdict

Intibaah will handle conditions and recent efforts in Dubai and on Tapeta can probably be ignored. But he's conceding 8lb to Poyle Vinnie and SPIRIT QUARTZ, which may prove beyond him. Mike Appleby's sprinter would have every chance on his second in last year's Ayr Gold Cup but 6f looks to be his trip nowadays whereas Robert Cowell's charge excels over the minimum. Placed in Group 2 and Group 3 races last term, he looks the one to beat. Lexington Abbey has a terrific record here but the ground could be a problem and the mare Blithe Spirit may struggle to go one better than last year on these terms, though goes well fresh. Veteran Silvanus also looks to be up against it.
